At Mac, we recently completed cataloguing of a collection of pamphlets by Bertrand Russell. Carl has written a blog posting of his own to mark the occasion, and I’ve written a bit about it on the Bib Services blog.
Russell, a philosopher, mathematician, and social reformer was a prolific writer, producing numerous books, articles, and, of course, pamphlets. The Division of Archives and Research Collections at McMaster holds Russell’s personal archives and library, as well as the desk and personal effects you see in the photo.
Great picture Wade! I recently had a tour of Research Collections where Carl showed us the Russell Library and collection, among other things. So impressive. And so much fun to catalogue too!
